The Lock-up gallery in Newcastle has a history dating from the 1800’s as a police station. If the walls of the cells within could speak they would tell of incarceration, crime, brutality and bloodshed.

Originally developed for a Newcastle Council City Evolutions project in celebration of 50 years of medical research in the city, Thicker than water is a projection mapped video on the facade of the Lock-up gallery that acknowledges the long history of the gallery as a police station.
